The Aurum Institute Organisational Structure

We are a proudly South African, public-benefit organisation with over 19 years' experience in leading the response, treatment and research efforts to eradicate TB and HIV. We have been working quietly alongside government, the mining industry, among NGO's and in communities to better understand the epidemics to provide real solutions. We are an internationally respected organisation, rooted in Africa, that improves health in communities living in poverty around the world. The Aurum Institute is governed by a Board of Directors, supported by governance committees and lead by a Group Management Executive consisting of a Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) supported by a Technical Expert Group; a Group Chief Operations Officer (COO) and a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The International (Non-Profit) currently consists of Aurum USA. The Group CFO is accountable for the Treasury, Group Finance, Financial Systems and Audit/Compliance. The Group COO is accountable for the South African Region, Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) who is responsible for Information Communications Technology (ICT) and Strategic Information.

The South African Region is led by the CEO SA Region, Managing Director Health Systems Division, Managing Director Public Health Division, Managing Director Clinical Research Division, Managing Director Implementation Research Division, Regional Director Human Resources, Regional Director Finance, Technical Directorate Chair, Director Public Relations, and Special Projects.

Each of the four divisions has their own executive committee consisting of the Divisional Managing Director, Principal Investigators, Technical Directors, Divisional Operations, Divisional Finance, Divisional Human Resource Business Partner, Divisional Grants Manager, Divisional Data Manager and Technical Advisors.

Technical Directorate is led by a Chairperson and consists of Quality Improvement; Clinical Training and Mentoring; Health and Pharmacy Services; Clinical Services and Technical Assistance; Monitoring and Evaluation and Data Management.

Corporate Services consists of the following departments : Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), Public Relations and Special Projects (including Safety, Health and Environment Management & Facilities, Fleet and Asset Management) and Grants Management.
