The Aurum Health System Division (HSD) Care and Treatment team recently gathered for their annual strategic planning meeting under the inspiring theme: “The Next Bold Move!”. The three-day event was filled with dynamic discussions, motivation, and a focus on aligning with funder priorities as the team prepared for the upcoming year.
Dr. Phindile Nxumalo, Aurum Senior Technical Director for HSD set the tone for the meeting, laying out key priorities and underscoring the importance of redefining the journey ahead. She emphasised the need to align with funder targets and priorities, urging the team to embrace the evolving landscape with clarity and focus.
A highlight of the event was a motivational speaker who captured the essence of the theme, challenging the team to “think boldly out of the box.” Participants were encouraged to approach their work with creativity and innovation.
Prof. Vinodh Edward, Aurum Chief Executive Officer: South Africa rallied the team to keep pushing forward, encouraging everyone to continue the hard work that keeps Aurum SA shining brightly. Dr. Njeri Kamere, Aurum Managing Director: H further inspired the group by encouraging individuals to find their own motivation and drive, to sustain momentum and achieve top performance in the coming year.
In-depth discussions on program improvement were led by various technical leads, ensuring that each program is geared for success in the year ahead. In addition to these strategic conversations, the training team, led by Mmotsi Moloi, Programme Manager: Training organised a series of team-building activities that strengthened the bonds among colleagues. These activities not only fostered unity but also left the team energised and ready to face the new COP funding year, starting in October.
The meeting concluded with a sense of optimism, enthusiasm, and a clear vision for the future. With bold thinking and a united team, HSD Care and Treatment team is ready to tackle the challenges of the year ahead.
