Prof Emilio Valverde
PhD in Medicine
Born in Spain, Dr Emilio Valverde has a Ph.D. in Medicine and extensive professional experience in HIV and TB care and treatment in Mozambique, where he has lived and worked since 1998.
In Spain, Prof Valverde did research work in population genetics and molecular diagnostics. Before joining Aurum, he worked for different organizations in the health sector, such as UNDP, CHAI, FGH, and APOPO. He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical School, Nashville, Tennessee.
