Ms Marinda Bouwer has extensive experience in strategic planning and operational management within diverse organisations and enterprises. With more than 20 years experience, she has served in executive management in both public and private healthcare sectors as well as the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries.
Her resilience and drive have been instrumental in the successful management of a pharmaceutical company as General Manager: Operations, establishing its footprint within the FMCG market and a successful opening of a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
She has successfully implemented corporate governance within a Not-for-Profit organisation with more than 1500 staff members as General Manager: Operations of the University of the Witwatersrand Reproductive Health and HIV Institute (Wits RHI). In her role as CEO: Hospital Manager at the Clinix Phalaborwa Private Hospital, Ms Bouwer was exposed to all aspects of the private health sector.
She has experience in various aspects of business management as well as the successful implementation of health programmes within the public health sector under various funders including PEPFAR (President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief); USAID (The United States Agency for International Development); CDC (Centres for Disease Control and Prevention) and the Global Fund among other local and international funders.
Her abilities to formulate and execute strategies and develop and meet organisational goals and objectives have led to exponential growth opportunities. The diversity during her career has also led her into various business sectors and she gained a clear understanding of the overall intricacies of the health sector.
