Dr. Lucy Chimoyi Selected for Yale University's CIRA Fellowship

Aurum’s scientist, Dr. Lucy Chimoyi, has recently been selected as one of the International Visiting Fellows at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS (CIRA) 2024 at Yale University.

The primary purpose of the International Visiting Fellow Programme is to support CIRA investigators engaged in HIV research in an international setting by bringing an established or prospective research partner to CIRA and Yale for a short visit. The programme prioritises visiting fellows from countries in regions with the highest burden of HIV/AIDS.

During her fellowship, she will present research findings from a study on the implementation of TB prevention therapy in primary care settings in low- and middle-income countries, as well as discuss potential synergies between HIV, TB, and substance use with the CIRA community.

"I am filled with immense joy and humility at the privilege of being selected for this prestigious fellowship. With determination, I stand ready to start this journey, fully equipped and eager to make an impactf." - Dr. Chimoyi
