Aurum conducts Training and QI tour in North West Province

The Aurum Institute's Training and Quality Improvement (QI) team is dedicated to enhancing engagement and performance across the North West Province, ensuring high-quality implementation of HIV/AIDS and TB treatment and care. In pursuit of this mission, the team launched a tour to empower local teams and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, integrity, respect, and teamwork, aiming for continuous improvement.

The tour was led by Ms. Lauren De Kock, Aurum's Regional Director for Training and QI, accompanied by Programme Managers Mrs. Mmotsi Moloi and Mr. Amos Ndlovu. This initiative provided much-needed support, appreciation, and guidance to the QI and Training staff across three key districts: Ngaka Modiri Molema, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, and Bojanala.

The first leg of the tour took place in Mahikeng, where the team was warmly welcomed by Aurum's Mahikeng District Manager, Glen Mogapi. The event was marked by fruitful discussions, debates, and camaraderie, all aimed at equipping staff with the skills and resolve necessary for effective service delivery. The collaborative spirit fostered during this session laid a strong foundation for ongoing improvement efforts.

In the Dr. Kenneth Kaunda district in Klerksdorp, the team received a warm reception from PHC Project Manager Ms. Maleshane Motingwe, who emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration for improving service delivery and health outcomes. Ms. Lauren De Kock shared valuable insights from her journey with Aurum, motivating staff to strive for excellence in their respective roles. Her inspiring words reinforced the district's commitment to high performance and continuous improvement.

The final stop of the roadshow was in Rustenburg and Brits within the Bojanala district. PHC Manager Ms. Tshireletso Phatlhanyane welcomed the team, who were eager to showcase their achievements, including QI projects initiated by the training team with support from QI. Ms. Lauren De Kock introduced various skills development models, engaging staff in activities designed to identify ways to strengthen Training and QI outcomes. This interactive session highlighted the district's progress and potential for future advancements. The Bojanala team concluded the event with a small ceremony to appreciate the support provided by Ms. De Kock and the QI and Training team.

Aurum’s Training and QI tour was a resounding success, reinforcing the Aurum values of excellence, innovation, integrity, respect, and teamwork across the North West Province. By empowering local teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, Aurum is making significant strides in enhancing the quality of HIV/AIDS and TB treatment and care.
