Academic Excellence and Professional Acumen
Prof. Edward's exceptional qualifications underscore his readiness for this role. He holds a Doctor of Technology degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Physiology. As a registered Professional Natural Scientist, he brings a wealth of scientific knowledge to his leadership. His academic prowess is further evidenced by his adjunct academic appointments at Vanderbilt University and the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Additionally, Prof. Edward is the co-chair of the Wits Institutional Biosafety Committee, highlighting his commitment to ethical and cutting-edge research practices.
